About the event

This is a 4 day - 3 night cycling event that we offer to young adults who want to experience a bucket list event right here in our back yard. This is truly an experience that you will remember for a life time!

RAGBRAI: is an annual seven-day bicycle ride across the state of Iowa. This year will be the 50th annual event and will have record number of riders. RAGBRAI is the oldest, largest and longest multiday recreational bicycle touring event in the world and we are excited to be able to offer a chartered service, catered to younger adults through BANDITS.

We have teamed up with TEAM ROTR... a very experienced cycling team that has done RAGBRAI for over a decade. They will help with logistics, guides and support the BANDITS riders. BANDTS and TEAM ROTR will provide all transportation, dinner and lunch meals, water, gatorade, full support, host homes, organization and more. BANDIT riders will have their own bus and support team but will follow and live with TEAM ROTR for part of the RAGBRAI week.

TEAM ROTR is a cycling team based out of Rochester. The group originated from a bunch of hockey players whom enjoyed riding bikes. The team has grown to over 200 members (internationally) and this year's TEAM ROTR RAGBRAI team is made of a 35 riders and a 5 person support team. The average ROTR rider age is 50 years old. The support team is broken into two specific teams: 1) a bus driver and a navigator and 2) a chase team – a truck and trailer, a driver, a navigator and a cook. The bus leaves camp each day by 8:30am. The bus will meet the riders at the mid-town where the support staff will have lunch cooked, cold water, Gatorade and the AC running. Riders can stop or just keep going. With TEAM ROTR riders go at their own pace and on their own schedule. TEAM ROTR also has their own full support team who will pick you up along the route if you are having troubles or need help . They also will have camp set-up by the time the riders arrive and will prepare the meal for the night. TEAM ROTR typically stays at host homes but they are equipped to stay in the middle of field if needed. They have a bus that has a shower on the outside, generators, bathroom, AC and more.

The BANDITS riders will have their own bus and will follow the ROTR bus and TEAM ROTR. TEAM ROTR will provide meals, encouragement, guides and help support and look after the BANDIT riders on route and in camp. The BANDIT bus has their own shower system, internal A.C., bathroom, 10 comfortable bunks for sleeping inside the bus but only capacity for 16 riders.
